Chancy Brolin's Obituary
Chancy M. “Chance” Brolin died at his home near Federalsburg, MD on Thursday, June 22, 2006. He was 76.
He was born on August 10, 1929 in Columbus, North Dakota the son of the late Carl and Grace Hill Brolin.
He was a Pile Driver working on bridges including both Chesapeake Bay bridges, the Roosevelt Island Bridge, and the Washington, D.C. subway system. He was a member of Union Local 2311 Pile Drivers Union in Washington, D.C. for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. Brandt Brolin who he married on July 18, 1949, a daughter, Linda Brolin McNally and her husband, John F. McNally of Hurlock, and 8 brothers and sisters, Anna May Brolin Riley of Brandywine, MD, Joy Bell (Brolin) Melvin and her husband, Ronnie of Chester, MD, Carl Brolin and his wife Mary of Laurel, MD, Butch Brolin of Ohio, Betty Crandall Gilroy, Larry Crandall, Paul Gilroy and Gary Gilroy all of Nanjemoy, MD, an aunt Fern Brolin Bold of Garrison, ND, a first cousin, Millie Steen of Apache Junction, AZ, good friends, Rusty and Donna Carter and Wayne and Marie Coulbourne all of Federalsburg.
Funeral services for him will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. located at 216 North Main Street in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Caroline Hospice Foundation P.O. Box 362 Denton, MD 21629.
