Charles "Bob" Robert Taylor's Obituary
Charles Robert "Bob" Taylor, 77, of Preston passed away at Easton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
He was born in Wilmington on April 5, 1941 to the late William C. Taylor and Marie Ward Taylor.
He graduated from Preston High School and joined the US Coast Guard. Following his four years in the service, he worked for the State of Maryland with the Department of Natural Resources for 25 years. Upon his retirement he was able to stay home and be "Mr. Mom" to his son, Matt.
Bob served as an Orphans Court Judge for Caroline County for 16 years. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #128, the Scottish Rite, and the Shriners. He was also a member of the Denton American Legion and the Train Collectors Association.
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon whom he married on December 24, 1976, his son Matt and his wife Kristin of Preston, and two granddaughters, Allyson and Aubrey. He is also survived by a brother, Bill and his wife, Thelma of Dover, DE, two nephews, a niece, and several grand nieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 4 pm.at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held on Monday from 2 - 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
