Charles John Fritz, II's Obituary
Charles John Fritz, II passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Martin Memorial Hospital North in Stuart, FL. He was 82.
He was born in Yonkers, New York on July 22, 1932, the son of the late Charles John Fritz I and Grace Dorthea Wilsea.
He graduated from Saunders Trades & Technical High School and two years of Electrical Engineering at Westchester Community College. He was employed as a Staff Manager in Customer Services at the New York Telephone Co. Mid-States NY, where he retired following 40 years of service. He served in the US Navy on board the USS Mississippi during the Korean War and toured the Mediterranean Sea on board the USS Des Moines and received an honorable discharge in 1954. He also served his community as a board member of the United Way of Putnam County NY, the Peekskill Area Health Center in Peekskill NY, a loaned executive to the Westchester United Way and chaired the Mid States Pioneers of the NY Telephone Co.
He is survived by four children, Cindy L. Chipman of Okeechobee, FL, Charles J. Fritz, III of New York, NY, Teresa L. Glasheen of Thornwood, NY, Kenneth M. Fritz and his wife Debbie of Ossining, NY. A devoted grandfather of six grandchildren, Alyssa Fritz, Madeline Fritz, Kenneth Fritz, Jr., Regina Fritz, Peter Glasheen, Christopher Glasheen, and a sister, Rhea Patricia Fritz of Santa Rosa, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home on 216 N Main St., Federalsburg, Maryland 21632 with Mark Hastings officiating. Interment will follow in Bridgeville Cemetery.
