Charles Wesley Lake Jr's Obituary
Charles Wesley Lake, Jr., known fondly as “Baby Boy” and “Lake” passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home. He was 68.
He was born on July 29, 1946 in Bobtown, the son of the late Charles W. Lake, Sr. and Annie Mae White Hughes.
Lake received his education from Hurlock Elementary School and Maces Lane High School. He worked for the former Harper Bateman in Hurlock, which is now B & G Foods, for many years. Charles was always full of jokes and was known for his beautiful smile and laugh. He loved to dance, was a stylish dresser, a family man, and had many lifetime friends.
He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Parthenia Lake, five children, Ethel Ross-Johnson of Laurel, DE, Michelle Smith of Federalsburg, MD, Tyrone Ross and his wife Teresa, of Hurlock, MD, Gordon “Toot” Frazier and his wife Sherina, of Cambridge, MD, and Melissa Ross Johnson and her husband Edward of FL, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five sister-in-laws, Mary Batson of Hurlock, Florine Brumell, and Gloria Batson both of Federalsburg, Delphine Warren and Imogene Bolden both of Cambridge, Carlton Bolden of Hurlock, who was like a nephew to him, and a host of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles W. Ross, Jr., a brother, Bob Lake, a sister-in-law, Shirley Brummell, and three brothers-in-law, Drexel Bolden, Carmon Bolden and Wilbert Bolden.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Framptom Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 prior to the service. Burial will be held privately at Federal Hill Cemetery, Federalsburg, Maryland.
