Charles A. Lowery
Easton, Charles A. Lowery of Easton, formerly of Claiborne, died at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2011. He was 65.
Born in Easton on June 6, 1946 he was the son of the late Charles and Agnes Cherbonnier Lednum. Mr. Lowery attended St. Michaels High School, while in his last year he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam in the early 1960’s. Following his release from active duty he returned to Talbot County where he began a career in Marine Construction. Charlie worked for various contractors including Weems Bros., J.M. Bryan & sons, Bailey Marine Construction and at the time of his death, Mark Hause Construction of Easton.
Charlie loved the outdoors, he enjoyed being on his boat, working in his garden but mostly he enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his many nieces & nephews.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his fiancée; Sharon Fisher of Easton, two sisters; Dawn Lednum of Claiborne, and Linda McGuire of Kennedyville, Md; his beloved nieces and nephews C.J. Lowery, Bryan Lowery and Kenneth Lowery, Ciara Lednum, Lexi Lednum, Devin Lednum and Shelby Lehmann. Also by his extended family; Rick Perry, Tom Perry, Shirley Jester, Joyce Coleman, Barbara Marshall, and many other nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Lowery.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon on Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Tilghman United Methodist Church, where friends may call from 10 until noon.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Easton.
