Charles Parker's Obituary
Charles Parker, Jr., of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 with his family by his side at UMSMC at Easton. He was 86.
He was born on December 11, 1930, in Hurlock, MD, son of the late Charles Parker, Sr. and Catherine Camper Parker.
Charles graduated in 1948 from F.D. St. Clair High School. He worked for Continental Can Co. He served in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of Hurlock United Methodist Church and occasionally attended Farmer Memorial C.O.G.I.C. in Preston. Charles was a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Thunderguards Motorcycle Club, Preston Chapter.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor Emily Brummell Parker, three children, Allen Parker, Shirley Parker and James Parker, Sr., and five siblings, Emma Spry, Roger Parker, Alfred Parker, Rose Lee Mapp, and Ethel Fletcher.
He leaves to cherish his memories his three loving daughters, Valerie Parker of Upper Marlboro, Maria Parker Brooks (James) of Jonesboro, GA, and Regina Maturo (Anthony) of Demorest, GA, a son, Stephen Adkins (Daisy) of Cambridge, two brothers, Tindley Parker of Hurlock, Douglas Parker of Baltimore, a special nephew, Thornton Parker (Clementine) of Seaford, DE, The Shepard Family of Hampstead, NC, including his god sister, Thelma Ward, and 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12 noon at Hurlock United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg and from 11 a.m. -12 noon at the church on Saturday.
