Charles W. Kilmon Sr.'s Obituary
Charles W. Kilmon, Sr. Easton, Charles W. Kilmon, Sr. of Easton, died at the U.M.S.M.C. on Saturday, October 31, 2015. He was 91. Born in Talbot Co. on September 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Virginia Sharp Kilmon. He attended Talbot Co. public schools, then on December 9, 1948 was inducted in the U.S. Army, Mr. Kilmon served honorably during the Korean conflict. Following his release from active duty, he returned to Talbot Co. where he began a lifelong career as a commercial waterman. Mr. Kilmon was a member of Talbot Post 70, American Legion of Easton, where he was past Commander, in addition he was a member of E.E. Streets, Memorial Post 5118 V.F.W. of Easton. He is survived by his beloved wife; Gertrude Gardner Kilmon, a son; Charles W. Kilmon, Jr. (Deborah Benisch) of Cambridge, three grandchildren, and six Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. A chapel service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday November 10, 2015, at the Eastern-Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock. Donations may be made to Talbot Post 70, 29511 Canvasback Dr. Easton, MD. 21601 Arrangements are by Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. of St. Michaels.
