Charles Benjamin Bramble's Obituary
Charles Benjamin Bramble of Parksley, VA died at Shore Life Care in Parksley on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. He was 97.
He was born on October 29, 1913 near Seaford, DE the son of the late Benjamin and Mildred Marine Bramble. A son, Charles Ernest Bramble preceded him in death in 1995. He worked for many years as a welder for the Water Department of Washington, D.C. retiring in 1978. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Onley, VA and helped build the sanctuary and fellowship hall at the church. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virgie Mae Wheatley Bramble whom he married on February 3, 1939, a daughter, Virginia Anne Luke and her husband Willard of Dallas, PA, two grandchildren, Debbie Freeland, her husband David and Valerie Luke, two great-grandchildren, Brandon Kelley and Amber Kelley, a sister, Mary Evelyn Wright of Delmar, MD and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and son, three sisters, Kathleen Hales, Edith Brigham and Marian Hitchens preceded him in death. Funeral services for him will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. in Federalsburg, MD with Pastor Kenneth Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Cokesbury Cemetery near Reliance. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.. The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Central Baptist Church 27140 Lankford Highway Onley, VA 23418.
