Charles "Buddy" Aldridge, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles "Buddy" Aldridge, Jr., age 73, of Hurlock, MD, died at his home, Tuesday afternoon, September 4, 2007.
Born on November 15, 1933 in Petersburg, Dorchester County, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Aldridge, Sr. and Rachel Curbey Aldridge.
Buddy, as he was affectionately known, had worked at farms and factories He was employed at Caroline Poultry for many years.
Buddy liked to ride his scooter. He was well known for being able to fix anything. He was liked by everyone especially children.
Surviving is a brother Frederick Robert Aldridge of Federalsburg, MD, a sister Emma Elliott of Hurlock, MD, six nieces and nephews Shirley Caven and her husband David of Hurlock, MD, Alien Lake and his wife Tracy of Cambridge, MD, Montwanie Lake of Wilmington, DE, Telicia Waters of Seaford, DE, Donshirl Ricks of Federalsburg, MD, Nikitia Lake of Easton, MD, very special friend Sherlmaine Lake Jenkins of Cambridge, MD, host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was a sister Irene Ellen Lake and a brother Linwood Aldridge.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Hurlock United Methodist Church, Hurlock, MD, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Alan Gould, Pastor of Bethel AME Church, Cambridge. Burial will follow at Petersburg Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
Pallbearers will be Cokeland Wilson, Preston Lake, Alvin Lake, Herbert Johnson and Schuster Farrow.
