Charles Wesley Peterson's Obituary
Charles Wesley Peterson of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his residence. He was 56 years old.
He was born Dec. 31, 1953 in Preston, the son of the late Helen Mae Cottom Peterson and Willie Peterson, Sr.
He was a graduate of North Dorchester High School and had been employed in the Logging Industry.
He is survived by 4 children, Kevin Peterson of Hurlock, Shannon Peterson of Baltimore, Sharlene Peterson of Preston and Tia Chalmers of DE, five grandchildren Kevin Peterson, Jr., Jasmine Peterson, Aignshe Peterson, Kevon Peterson and Kahlil Batson, six siblings Bernice Johnson of Oxon Hill, MD, Willie Peterson, Jr. of Capital Heights, MD, William Peterson of Hurlock, Doretha Peterson of Seaford, Richard Peterson and Christine Peterson Lankford both of Hurlock; many nieces and nephews, special niece Rolanda “Star” Peterson, two special nephews Andre Barham and Josh Lankford, and special aunt and uncle Mary Ellen Woolford of Hurlock and Howard Cottom of Smyrna, DE. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Elaine Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston. Interment will follow in Johns Cemetery near Preston. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
