Chester A. Walk's Obituary
Chester Walk, age 97, died peacefully at his home in Sherwood, MD on April 7, 2016. Born July 7, 1918 in Palmerton, PA, he lived in Catonsville, MD for almost 50 years before relocating to Sherwood, MD in 1994. Chet was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and continued to serve the community through many years of volunteer service to the Boy Scouts of America and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Bernice Walk of Sherwood, his daughter Joyce Dare (Rodney-deceased) of Grovetown, GA, and his son Bruce Walk (Melissa) of Rochester, MN, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday May 21st at Catonsville United Methodist Church in Catonsville, MD. Interment will be at Olivet Cemetery, St. Michaels, MD; on the same day at 4:00 PM. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. of St. Michaels.
