Christine Ann "Chrissy" Jones-Young 's Obituary
Christine Ann Jones (Young) passed away on Monday morning February 15th at her home in Preston. She was 63.
To meet Christine, better known as Chrissy, was to love her. She always wore a smile and was eager to share her smile with the world and all she came into contact with. No matter how badly her life may have been going at the time she never complained and you never would have known that she was struggling herself. She touched many people’s lives in her personal life as well as her professional life. Her positive attitude was infectious; she tried to see the good in people.
Chrissy was active in several organizations throughout her life including the Neighborhood Service Center and the Eastern Shore Center for Independant Living. She loved to help where ever she could. Her most recent organizations being Rebuilding Together and the Bay Area Center for Independent Living. She also worked as a home health advisor and patient advocate for many years before her passing. She worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter for many years as well and made many friends there.
Chrissy is survived by her son Lucas Jones of Preston, her siblings Stevie, Johnny, Morty, Lillian, LeLe, Ruth and Peggy and many other very special nieces and nephews that were very lucky to call her their Aunt .
She was preceded in death by her best friends Sheila and Price.
A memorial will be held in her honor on Sunday, February 28th at 1pm at the Lions Club in Preston. The family is asking for a donation to the Preston Lions Club for the use of the facility.
