Cindy Lou Saunders' Obituary
Cindy Lou Saunders of Easton, Maryland passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. She was 61.
She was born on November 15, 1953, the daughter of the late Raymond Levi Saunders and Bonnie June Smith Saunders.
She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School with the class of 1971. Cindy had worked as a service manager at her family’s business, Levi Chevrolet, in Federalsburg. For many years she drove a school bus route for Preston Elementary School, having taken over the route from her father. She began working at Walmart when they opened their store in Easton in 1991. She held the position of personnel manager at the time of her death.
She enjoyed traveling and was always on the go. Her family and close friends were the main focus of her life, and she always put the needs of others before her own.
Cindy is survived by a sister, Patty Woodward, and her husband, Chuck, of Hurlock. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew whom she loved as her own; Tammy Coulbourne and her husband, Kevin, of Preston, Crystal Thawley and her husband, Kevin, of Milton, Delaware, Stacy Spedden and her husband, Bruce, of Seaford, Delaware, Nicholas Woodward and his wife, McCullough, of Trinity, North Carolina, and Amanda Helgason and her husband, Bobby, of Rhodesdale. In addition she is survived by her great nieces and nephews; Brooke Coulbourne, Alyssa and Garrett Thawley, Connor and Lily Spedden, Kent and Anna Woodward, and Camden and Cash Helgason. She was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Hayman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at twelve noon at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Glenn Staehli officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
