C. James McConnel's Obituary
C. James McConnel of Federalsburg, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Caroline County Home for Hospice in Denton. Jim, also know as “C.J.” was 65.
He was born on September 18, 1942, son of the late Caroll John McConnel and Shirley Irene Davis McConnel.
He was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country in the United States Air Force. He had worked at Memorial Hospital in Easton as a Radiology Engineer. His hobbies included horseback riding, tractor pulls, and mud hopping. He was a member of Laurel Saddle Friends where he enjoyed being a game show announcer for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marilyn Durham McConnel whom he married, May 7, 1965, a daughter, Megan Nabb of Cambridge, three grandchildren, Hunter James Nabb, Bryan Nabb, Jr. both of Cambridge, Jena Lee Nabb of Florida, a sister, Carol Hancock and her husband Chester of LaPlata, MD, a brother, Lee McConnel and his wife, Cindy of Virginia.
A memorial services for him will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
