Clara Lynne Saunders' Obituary
Clara Lynne Saunders of Seaford, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 58.
She was born on May 2, 1964 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late George W. Mansfield and Janet Dias.
Clara grew up in Dorchester County and later graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 1982. She worked at Walmart for many years in Seaford and later was self-employed cleaning homes and performing yard work.
Clara loved people. She enjoyed helping others and was known for her gallant smile, familiar laugh and big heart. She would do anything for anyone who needed help.
In her free time, she enjoyed flower gardening, collecting sea glass, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her fiancée Beatle Brown of Seaford, two grandchildren: Gage Michael Dyes of Seaford and Gracee Olivia Dyes of Federalsburg; five siblings: Patricia "Patty" Stadden of Ingleside, MD, Joanie Miller and her companion Dale of Hurlock; Toby Mansfield and his wife Mickey of Federalsburg; Allen Mansfield and his wife Carol of Delmar, DE; and Betty Richards and her companion Walt of Federalsburg; her friend and caregiver Debbie Hayden; and her beloved dog, Jeffrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: George J. Mansfield, Julia Burns, and Rick Mansfield; and a nephew, D.J. Mansfield.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services.
