Claude Merrill Taylor's Obituary
Claude Merrill Taylor of Preston, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2006 at his home. He was 79.
He was born on December 17, 1927 in Harmony, MD, son of the late Robert Noble Taylor and Flora Bell Taylor.
He graduated from Preston High School class of 1945. He was presently a grain and vegetable farmer and had been a dairy and pork grower. He was a member of Gideons International and a former member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Bethlehem Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Sylvia Lofland Taylor, whom he married July 10, 1953, a daughter, Janice Taylor Stanley and her husband, David William Stanley of Preston, a brother, Calvin Wesley Taylor, Sr. of Preston, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Taylor and a sister, Pauline Maloney.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with Rev. Bill Thomas, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
