Cora Wright Willen's Obituary
Cora Wright Willen of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at her home. She was 89 years old.
She was born Aug. 10, 1921 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late Oscar and Madge Hubbard Wright. Her husband, F. Leroy Willen, preceded her in death on May 1, 1988.
She worked side by side with her husband as a food service operator. Cora was a very active member and former past president of the VFW Post #5246 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Federalsburg Senior Center, and she loved to spend time with her family and travel.
She is survived by four children, Kay Walston and her husband Emory of Denton, Nancy Lynn Adams, Germantown, MD, Kathie Ostrowski and her husband Ben of Federalsburg, and Joe Craig Willen and his wife Patricia of Hughesville, MD, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Loretta Todd, two brothers, Oliver Wright and Milan Wright and a grandson, Lionel Walston
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home. The VFW Post #5246 will present at 1:45. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
