The world has lost a shining light in the passing of Cornelia Baltimore, who passed away on November 7, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on June 1, 1960 in Cambridge, Maryland. Cornelia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt,grand mother and friend.
Cornelia graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1978, upon which she joined the United States Army where she was a Military Police Officer.
Cornelia was a devoted wife for 39 years, to her husband Allen Baltimore and a loving mother to her children Jeanette Baltimore Magee, Octavene Baltimore Gleason (Michael), and Daniel Baltimore. Cornelia was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Samuel Baltimore, Charlize Magee, Darian Gleason, Ayvah Gleason and Andre Magee. Cornelia was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Saunders and the late Octavene Harris Saunders and the sister of the late Elvis Harris(Rose), Benjamin Saunders (Michelle), Elizabeth Saunders(Gary), Jeffrey Saunders (Pamela), Joseph Saunders Jr., and the late William Saunders Sr. (Teresa).
Cornelia was a woman of many passions. She was greatly interested in fitness and nutrition and was taking classes to become a certified holistic nutrition coach. She was an avid thrifter, and loved decorating and baking white potato pies. Above all, her family was her everything.
Cornelia was a woman of strength and courage. She was straight forward and faced life's challenges head on. She was a beacon of light to those around her and always had a kind word and a warm embrace. She was generous with her time and resources and always put the needs of others before her own.
Cornelia will be remembered for her unwavering faith in the Lord, her infectious laughter, and her unconditional love. She was a source of strength and comfort to her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed.
Cornelia's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May her spirit continue to shine through in the lives of those she touched.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 at the Easton Church of God. Burial will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
