Growing up I always knew my pop pop was someone very special. He worked hard at his job and would come home and still find time to take his grandkids for walks to the boat place, to the grocery store if mom mom asked him for something. We didn't care how far, we were with pop pop and would just go. He was the best pop pop anyone could've ever had or asked for. Watching him with my three children (his great grandchildren) was absolutely precious. I hold him and all of the memories so close to my heart. He held me as I took my first breaths, I held him when he took his last. I love you so much pop pop and will miss you more than any words I could say. Take care of Mom mom and Joseph. Until we meet again.
Love you pop pop, I always liked taking walks with you in the city and on the eastern shore.
So sorry for your loss. I still remember your Dad coming home from work. I can see him walking down Hudson Street and always saying "Hello" as he went into your house. I also remember that he would make these very practical and usable items from Stainless Steel. My Mom had a dustpan that he made for her!
