Courtney Elizabeth Joseph's Obituary
Our daughter passed away much to young at the age of 28. One thing we as her parents ask everyone that knew her to not only remember her beautiful spirit but remember to live life to the fullest because it's much too short.
Courtney Elizabeth Joseph left this world unexpectedly at age 28 on June 11, 2021. She was a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and friend. Courtney loved her kids Brayden and Kinslie more than anything in this world. Through this whole process no matter what state of mind she was in, she made sure to put them first. When we would have Sunday dinners Courtney and her sister Ashley who was her best friend would start telling stories about their trips going out to Hillsboro Ohio Church Camp with Pop-Pop and Mom-Mom Shane who she loved dearly. Courtney had one nephew Stefan who she loved so much if she had something for Brayden and Kinslie believe me she had one for Stefan. It felt like Christmas all year round.
Courtney was proud of her accomplishments especially in the last two years of her life, counseling others who struggle with the same terrible demon she struggled with.
We will always remember her infectious smile, her piercing blue eyes, and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. When you think of Courtney celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and should be lived to the fullest.
Courtney was preceded in death by her grandfather Gilbert N Shane Jr. and Grandmother Caroline Ellis Jefferson.
She leaves behind her children Brayden and Kinslie Joseph, her parents Chris and Arlene Rust of Georgetown her sister Ashley Custis and her Husband Chris and Nephew Stefan of Seaford; grandparents Agnes Shane of Bridgeville, Nancy Seddio of Longneck, John and Jeannae Compton of West Virginia, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, and Friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1:00 at the Seaford Christian Church, 22581 Sussex Highway, Seaford with Pastor Shawn Short officiating. Interment will follow at Old Paths Church of Christ Cemetery in Georgetown. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 at the church.
