Cynthia E. Seymore's Obituary
Cynthia E. Seymore of Federalsburg Maryland has passed on Monday July 5th at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 69.
Cynthia was born September 24, 1947 in Easton, PA the daughter of the late Louis Seymore and Marion Johnson Seymore.
Cynthia was educated in Easton, PA public schools. She attended Katherine Gibbs business School. She also attending Union County College in Cranford, NJ. Graduated with a degree in Health Administration. Chesapeake College for CEB 130 A to Z Grantwriting received certificate. Cynthia was employed at AirCo Industrial gases. She worked and retired from Johnson & Johnson and Jansen Pharmaceutical for many years as clinical researcher. Cynthia volunteer at the Domestic Abuse Center in North Brunswick, NJ. Cynthia played a major part in re-opening the Community Civic League in Federalsburg, MD which was originally founded by Gertrude L. Johnson her grandmother. Also wrote and applied for grant funding for the center. As one of the fundraiser she had breakfast every first Saturday of month. She also helped write grants for Men for Change this organization also help the children and teens of Federalsburg, MD and surrounding towns.
Cynthia was a member of Community Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ and First Church of God in Federalsburg, MD she serve as a member of leadership and Children’s Ministry.
Preceded by her in death by are parents Louis and Marion Seymore, Louis Seymore Jr and Mark Jr Seymore.
Those who remain to cherish the memory of her life three daughters Sandra Johnson (Jameel) of Bear, DE, Victoria Taylor (Rodney) of Plainfield, NJ and Anita Seymore of Selbyville, DE and Brian Lockley like a son. Her grandchildren Jameel Hall, Sean Taylor, Jason Seymore-Henderson, Lyric Seymore, Shanita Seymore-Davis. Her great- grand-daughter Laniyah Yarrell. Her sisters Lou Marra Hoggs of Piscataway, NJ, and Yvonne McDaniels of Blooming Prairie, MN and one brother Arthur Seymore. And host of Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the First Church of God in Federalsburg with Reverend Willie Jackson officating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
