Cyrus J. Buckley, III of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Kent General - Bay Health Hospital in Dover, DE. He was 68.
He was born on February 22, 1953 in Milford, DE, the son of the late Cyrus J. Buckley, Jr., and Elizabeth Bunting Buckley.
He was married on August 24, 1979 to Valerie Riddle Buckley.
He worked for Precision Marine for many years building piers, docks, and bulk heads. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing, and building little things around the house. He loved to watch John Wayne movies, and also loved Family Guy. He loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Valerie Riddle Buckley of Smyrna, a son, David Bender of Delmar, and a host of grandchildren, two sisters: Alice Sockriter of Laurel and Bonnie Justice of Millsboro, a brother: Donald Buckley of Tuscon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
