In Loving Memory: Dale Vinton Love
Born: November 30,1942 in Washington DC
Death: August 25,2022 Easton Memorial Hospital, Easton MD
Dale moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland as a young boy where he called Eldorado his home and lived in Trappe Maryland at the time of his passing.
Attending schools in Dorchester County, he was a 1960 graduate of North Dorchester High School. The same year he married the late Patricia A. Love (White) and started a family. Dale also began working for Safeway in 1960 and in a short time became Safeway’s youngest manager on the east coast. In 1972 he became manager of the new Cambridge store with his Safeway career lasting for over 38 years. For a brief time, he worked for Tri-Gas and Oil enjoying the projects Keith McMahan would have him do.
For more than 20 years. he was self-employed as a MD Lead Paint Inspector. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #66 AF/AM in Cambridge and the Cambridge Elks Lodge #1272. He dabbled in real estate and was a landlord of several properties.
He Is survived by his sons, Terry D. Love (Denise) and Leroy Scott Love (Cathy Coulbourne Collins), daughter in law Sandy Love, his grandchildren, Jason E. Love, Ashley Love Murphy (J.J.), Corey Love, Danielle Love, Holly Love Burkot (Michael), and Gregory Love. Survived by two great grandchildren Rylee Love, and Zachary Burkot, his former wife and friend Cynthia Love, and his best friend and partner Coco aka "spinny dog". Dale was preceded in death by his parents Norman C. and Pauline E. Love and his grandparents, Dale and Cora Webster, and his oldest son Daniel (Danny) B.Love.
He loved spending time and seeing his family happy. Always a gentleman, he was very kind and had a big heart. He was admired by his family. He used to love spending time on the water, crabbing and fishing with his late friend and partner in crime, Joe Moxey. He left behind a lifetime of happy memories and many stories.
The last thing he said to his children was "You ready?" and when asked "Where are we going?", Dale replied "WORK!"
