Daniel Baez's Obituary
Daniel Baez of Federalsburg, MD peacefully passed away on Aug. 8, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 79.
He was born July 21, 1937 in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Eustacio Baez and Sofia Facio Baez.
He retired from Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg, MD after 40 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and following the Orioles and Ravens. He enjoyed fishing, going for rides, and being a supporter of South Caroline Mustang Cheerleading and football. He was “Poppie” to so many. He took great pride in having the home that everyone wanted to come to for acceptance and advice. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Charlotte Marine Baez, a daughter Karen Baez (Bryan) of Federalsburg, a son William “Jimmy” Green (Kaylin) of St. Michaels, a goddaughter Sandra “Tater Bug” Todd of Federalsburg, 3 granddaughters Ramsey “Roo” Jester of Federalsburg, Danelle Green (Doug) and Kristan Green, both of St. Michaels, 2 grandsons Trey Higgins (Megan) of NC and Avida Moore of St. Michaels, 6 great-granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons, brother-in-law Randy Marine of Galestown, MD, 2 sisters Elsie and Geraldine Baez, both of Puerto Rico, and his special buddy a boxer named Lennox. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters, and in-laws Thomas and Elizabeth Marine.
In his liberal giving of himself, he has given his body to science. A memorial service will be held on Sat. Aug. 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg with Bishop Ray Parsons and Pastor TJ Lay officiating.
