Darcey Gene McMahan's Obituary
Darcey Gene McMahan of Preston, MD passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. He was 78.
He was born February 27, 1935 in Easton, the son of the late Ralph McMahan and Sophie Worm McMahan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Hall McMahan.
He was an avid crabber and fisherman.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Ruff of Federalsburg, Rodger McMahan and his wife, Jennifer of Ellendale, DE, Donna DeGroat and her husband, Kevin, of Preston, and Ralph McMahan of Preston, four grandchildren, Ethan Ruff, Colin Ruff, Jennifer DeGroat, Melissa DeGroat, and four great-grandchildren, Brent DeGroat, Zoe Ruff, Leavie Haas, and Charlotte Haas. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Ruff.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Ellery Adams officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Interment with follow at Junior Order Cemetery.
