David Wayne Allen's Obituary
David Wayne Allen, 62, of Seaford, Delaware passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 after a brief and recent cancer diagnosis.
David, or "Spuck" as he was commonly known, was born February 11, 1961 to the late Levin Roger and Alice Virginia Allen. He attended Dorchester County Public Schools, and graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1979. He was employed for many years with Clyde Harding, Sr. and later as a property maintenance employee for Summer Place Resort in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
Spuck loved fishing and crabbing. He enjoyed meeting and conversing with people from different places and getting to know all about them. He was loved and cared for by everyone he met. He was especially proud of his son Zack and his grandson Zeke. Telling others about them always brought a smile to his face.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel O. Allen and a sister Patricia Eskridge.
He is survived by his loving, caring and loyal companion of 17 years, Wanda Trice, his son Zack Allen and his companion Katie, his grandchildren Zeke, Dylan and Violet, a brother Steve Allen and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving him are Caitlin Trice and Brent Jones (Ashley) whom he thought of as his step-children and their children, Austin, Macy, Aubrey, Brianna and Bristol who affectionately called him Pop Pop Spuck.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Cokesbury Community Center, 5952 Cokesbury Rd., Rhodesdale, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Spuck's honor can be made to Framptom Funeral Home, P.A., 216 N Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 to help defray funeral expenses.
