David R. Evans' Obituary
David Robert Evans of Federalsburg, MD passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. He was 59 years old.
He was born on September 4, 1949, in Salisbury, Maryland, the son of the late George Evans and Louise Truitt Evans.
He graduated from Colonel Richardson High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a supervisor of mill maintenance and mechanics for Kraft Foods, in Dover, DE. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Federalsburg. He was a Master Mason as a member of the Nanticoke A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #62 and a member of the Shriners. He was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Johnson Evans, whom he married on March 3, 1989, two daughters, Shawne Evans of Federalsburg, Angel Adams of Salisbury, two sons, Fred Adams of Federalsburg and Jason Jester both of Federalsburg, nine grandchildren, Nicole Ponton, Jordan Towers, Nolan Adams, Colby Adams, Chloe Adams, Kelsie Monath, Amber Jester, Twyla Jester, Kaylee Jester all of Federalsburg., a brother, Patrick Phelan of Chesapeake, VA, Virginia “Ginger” Hitch of Seaford, DE, his dog and companion, Rusty Evans, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Phelan.
