Deborah L. Jones' Obituary
Deborah L. Jones formerly of Federalsburg, went home to be with her Lord at her home in Cambridge, Maryland on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. She was 51.
She was born in Easton, MD on October 7, 1955 the daughter of Katherine “Kitty” Croft Clevenger of Kent Island, MD and the late Winfred “Bud” Clevenger.
She was a graduate of Queen Anne High School in 1973 and last worked as an insurance agent for Christiansen Allstate in Easton and Cambridge. Prior to that she worked for the Farmers Home Administration, the Maryland Rural Development Corporation, as a circuit Town Manager for Caroline and Dorchester Counties, as an insurance agent for American General, at Southern States Cooperative in Easton, for AFLAC and for Bank of America in Easton.
She was a member of, and an Adult Sunday School teacher at Greater Works Christian Assembly in Cambridge, Maryland.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Ralph H. “Rick” Jones and four children, Jeremy Jones and Lauren Taylor (Gabriel) both of Seaford, DE, Joshua (Christina) Jones of Baltimore, MD and Michael Jones of Cambridge, MD, five grandchildren, Karla, Joshua “Tre’”, Katlyn, Olivia and Nathan, two sisters, Patricia (James) Niehus of Annapolis, MD and Suzanne Ponciroli of Nashville, TN, a brother, Frank (Carol) Clevenger of Grasonville, MD and 23 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for her will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church located at 501 Glenburn Avenue in Cambridge, MD with Apostle Solomon Bramble officiating.
The family has requested that donations be made in her memory to Greater Works Christian Assembly 3020 Center Drive Cambridge, MD 21613.
