Delores Ann Greene's Obituary
Delores Ann Stanley Greene transitioned to her eternal rest on January 30, 2023. Delores was born February 14, 1942, in Caroline County to the late Purnell and Goldie Jackson Stanley. Delores received her education in the Caroline Public Schools in Caroline County.
Delores was a long-time member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Preston, Maryland. Delores affectionately called Mom, Mommy, Mom-mom, Granny, Bo Ann, Baby Ann, Aunt Baby Ann, Dee, Miss Dee. Delores loved her church and her job. She was always there for her church whenever they needed her. She was a member of multiple organizations 4-H Club, member of the former Hurlock and Preston Social Club, Truckers Club, member of the (FOG) Federalsburg Outreach Group. Delores previously worked at the school cafeteria in Preston, Maryland, Caroline Poultry and Maryland Plastics, Federalsburg, Maryland. She provided services for the Detrick family in Harmony, Maryland. Delores provided 48 years of outstanding service and dedication to DCT, where she was employed as a dispatcher and supervisor. DCT treated Delores like family and she respected them as members of her family. She wore many hats which allowed her to gain many accolades during her time on earth. Delores held several positions at Mt. Calvary, Sunday School and vacation Bible School teacher. President of united Women in Faith, church treasury, member of Unity Fellowship choir, usher Senior Adult Ministries. She would dress as Mrs. Santa for the Young People.
Delores was preceded in death by one son Carlos Greene, sisters Flora Fletcher and Reba Magee, brothers William, Maurice, Thomas and Mervin Stanley, God son James Troy Brooks, Sr.
Delores leaves to cherish her memories, companion Howard Melvin Stanford; children Lucinda Greene of Bridgeville, DE, Larry and Leslie Greene of Federalsburg and Lynn Greene of Seaford, DE; grandchildren Lucretia Greene Adams (Joel) of Seaford, DE, LaShonda Greene Hayman (Alex) of Seaford, DE, Damain Greene (Kim) of Marydale, DE, Ebony Greene of Laurel, DE, Keith Thomas of Baltimore, MD, and Brandon Johnson of Seaford, DE; great-grandchildren Isaiah Greene, Kevin Johnson Jr, Shariah Lake, Elijah Greene, Domanick Greene, Bria Greene, Brianna Greene, Jayden Greene, James Greene, and Olivia Greene; a great-great-grandchild A'moura Greene; sisters Daisy Bolden of Federalsburg, MD and Lolita Stanley of Seaford, DE; God children Jack Wahington and Archelle Stanley Jones; and a special sister Verona Waller. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
