Delores Ann Dolby's Obituary
Delores Ann Dolby of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was 70.
She was born on January 28, 1939 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Walter C. Bowie and Louise Welch Bowie.
She was a cook for Benedictine School in Ridgely until her retirement. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Preston where she was involved in many activities at the church. She also enjoyed going to bible study, cooking, making dolls and jewelry, crocheting, and doing crafts. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and all her family dearly.
She is survived by four children, Walter “Bunky” Beasley and his wife, Faye of Louisiana, Mark “Chipper” Beasley and his wife, Sheila of Denton, Barbara “Jody” Patilla of Easton, Lauri Farrer of Cambridge, a daughter in-law, Beverly Dolby of Easton, eleven grandchildren, Auburn, Brad, Amanda, Pam, Tyler, Jessie, Wayne, David, Dennis, Alan, and Matthew, five great-grandchildren, Madasyn, Leagha, Dillan, Trevor, and Samantha, two sisters, Betty Bowie of Easton, and Helen Garrett of Lithicum, two brothers-in-law, Bill Rush of Preston and Robert Wahl of Reliance, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Lee Dolby, III, and Michael Wayne Wahl, and five siblings, Jimmy Bowie, Walter Bowie, Barbara Wahl, Shirley BowerSox, and Joan Rush.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Joan Wolff officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston.
