Dena Kaye Quinton's Obituary
Dena Kaye (Donovan) Quinton passed away at Talbot Hospice in Easton on Friday, December 20, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 61 years old and made her home in Preston, Maryland at the time of her death.
Born in Easton, Maryland on March 6, 1963, Dena was the daughter of the late Sewell and Shirley (Crowe) Donovan-Ellis. She attended local schools and graduated from Col. Richardson High School. Following high school Dena worked at different jobs and eventually became a purchasing agent. In 2003 she married James "Jim" Quinton, Sr.
For many years Dena served her community as a volunteer EMT with the Brookview - Eldorado Volunteer Fire Company until she moved to Caroline County. In her free time she enjoyed working in the yard and decorating her home for each season. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband Jim, Dena is survived by her children Allan Culver and Aaron Culver; her step-children Jim Quinton, Jr. and Mindy Quinton; her grandchildren Logan, Landon, Jaxson, Jaidyn, Kreidyn, Weston, Kaleb, Landon, Mason and Nolan.
Dena was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother the Reverend Mark Donovan.
A memorial service will be held at Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 6pm with a visitation one hour prior starting at 5pm.
