Dennis Jeffrey Rada Sr.'s Obituary
Dennis Jeffrey Rada Sr. (Denny) was born in Queenstown, MD on December 24, 1949. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton.
He graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School in 1968. He married Rebecca Anne Sewell soon after graduation. They built their home in Wye Mills and resided there for their 49 years of marriage.
Denny was a very active member in the Easton Church of God. He served on the board for 8 years. He was a door pastor and a Sunday school teacher. He was also a minister at the Pines in Easton for 8 years. He owned his own business, Rada Builders, since 1979. He also worked as a hunting guide for Eastern Shore Hunting Service for 25 years. He coached all levels of baseball, from Little League to American Legion, to collegiate level for Chesapeake College. He loved all children and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Denny touched the lives of many people with his wit, charm and charisma. He greeted everyone with a big smile and unforgettable energy. He always had a funny story to tell (and never let the truth get in the way of the punchline).
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ann Rada, two children, Jeff (Kim) Rada, and Alex Cooker, two grandsons, Sawyer and Spencer, 5 siblings, Billy Rada, Faye Hickman, Linda Saubier, Sherry (Dave) Smith, and Donnie (Theresa) Rada, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on December 28, 2017 at 11am at Easton Church of God in Easton, MD with Pastor Dwayne Dixon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dennis J. Rada Sr. Memorial Fund, 1880 Bank, 8707 Commerce Dr., Suite B, Easton, MD 21601.
