Donald Joseph Lambert's Obituary
Donald Joseph Lambert, Sr., known fondly as “Don”, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his home. He was 77.
He was born on May 24, 1939 in Baltimore, the son of the late Joseph Edward Lambert and Ruth Geisler Lambert.
Don graduated from Glen Burnie High School. He served his country by enlisting in the United State Marine Corp. Don worked several various jobs over the years and retired from his business as owner of Bowsers Tavern in Federalsburg. He was a member of Seaford Moose Lodge #1728 and the AM Vets. Don enjoyed going fishing, big game hunting, had a love for classic cars, and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Zulene “Dee” L. Harvey Lambert, two children, Donald J. Lambert, Jr. (Julie), Susan Kirwan, all of Federalsburg, seven grandchildren, Joey Lambert, Donald J. Lambert, III, Jennifer Scudder, Danielle Scudder, Amanda Scudder, Rebecca Scudder, Zachary Kirwan, a great-granddaughter, his brother, Alan D. Lambert (Darlene) of Smithville, and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lambert and a granddaughter, Nicole Lambert.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.at Framptom Funeral Home, PA in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Federalsburg, MD. A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and from 12-1p.m. on Thursday.
