Doris R. Harding's Obituary
Doris R. Harding, formerly known as Doris R. LeCompte, of Hurlock passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was 76.
She was born on April 17, 1940 in Cambridge, Maryland the daughter of the late Guy Maguire Harding, Sr. and Helen Mary Hollerman.
She graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 1959. She later became a licensed practical nurse. Caring for everyone was just the way Doris knew how to show her love. Her home was always open for a cup of coffee and conversation.
She is survived by three children, Gary LeCompte, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Vienna, Donna L. LeCompte of Hurlock, and Melissa Willoughby and her husband Butch of Hurlock, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, the father of her children, Gary “Pert” LeCompte, Sr., of Hurlock, a brother, Guy Harding, Jr of Hurlock, and two sisters, Betty Lowe of Cambridge and Sharon Hurley of Reids Grove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly LeCompte and two sisters, Linda Condon and Helen Taylor.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2:00 at Chapel of Ease (Vienna) Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating.
