Doris Mae Lomax's Obituary
Doris Mae Lomax passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at The Pines-Genesis Health Center in Easton. She was 86.
She was born on July 6, 1924 in Easton, Maryland the daughter of the late John Dolby and Lucille “Lucy” Cannon Dolby. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alton Jerry Darling and Charles Lester Lomax.
She graduated from Preston School. She retired from the former Gray Block Ribbon Company in Easton.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and especially taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Alton J. Darling of Cordova, Edward G. Darling and his wife Pat of Denton, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchidren, and a sister, Gladys Hartzell of Bridgeville. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service for her will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Glenn Staehli officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 until 11 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be private.
