Dorothy Marie Cannon's Obituary
Dorothy Marie Cannon was born May 26, 1945 to the late Helen Cannon and William Ross in Seaford, Delaware. She departed this life on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Tidal Health Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, Delaware.
Dorothy received her formal education from the Blocksom School. After that she moved to Federalsburg, Maryland and was employed at Caroline Poultry in Federalsburg. She was also employed with B&G Foods in Hurlock, Maryland until she retired.
Her hobbies included talking on the phone with friends and family, watching TBN, singing, and attending church. She was a faithful supporter of Park Lane Church of God for many years under the leadership of Pastor Ray and Trish Parsons in Federalsburg, Maryland. Dorothy was dear to the Parson Family and Park Lane fellowship.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings; Mary Ross; Linwood Ross; Atlas Ross, Sr., and Ernest Ross.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: husband, Charles Cannon; one sister; Evelyn Fooks of Glassboro, New Jersey; one brother; Jerome Ross (friend-Belinda) of Federalsburg, Maryland, a special niece & caregiver, Dorlinda Ross, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 12pm at Park Lane Church of God with Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. Friends may call on the family from 11am-12pm prior to the start of the service. Interment will be held at Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg, MD immediately following the service.
