Dorothy G. Lednum's Obituary
Easton: Dorothy G. Lednum of St. Michaels, died at the Pines Easton on Sunday February 16, 2025. She was 87.
Born in Easton, MD on May 10, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jones and Anna Ewing Jones. She attended Talbot County public schools. Mrs Lednum was a homemaker all of her life, caring for her family.
She enjoyed picking crabs, attending and working the concessions at the St. Michaels Fire Dept. Carnival. She was a past member of the St. Michaels Fire Dept :Ladies Aux. and Post 70 American Legion Ladies Aux.
She is survived by her Children; Donald Murphy ( Denise) of Easton daughter's Mae Jump (David) of St. Michaels, Lori Marth (Blair) of McDaniel, and Linda Gerkin (Gene) of Easton.
13 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren. two sister; Hilda Reese (John) of Preston, Frances Sinclair Easton, one brother; Robert "Bobby" Jones of Neavitt, one brother in law Doug Cheesum, of Cordova. Also numerous nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Lednum, Sr. two sisters; Barbara Loudermilk, Virginia "Ginny" Cheezum, and one brother; Thomas Jones, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25,2025 at the Framptom Funeral Home-Ostrowski Chapel, St. Michaels. at 11:00AM, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 until 11:00AM
Burial will be at the Maryland Eastern Shore Verterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
