Dorothy Treat Murphy's Obituary
Dorothy Treat Murphy, of Hurlock, age 82; died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton.
She was born on January 6, 1934 to the late James and Anna Konarski. She attended school at Edgemere Elementary, Sparrows Point High School, and Essex Community College in MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dawson Murphy, three brothers, James Konarski, William Konarski, and Edward Konarski; and a nephew Michael Konarski.
She is survived by two children, Leonard F. Treat and his wife Sara and Sylvia J. Treat Stetz and her husband Steven; three step-children, Patrick Murphy and his wife Mary, Rosemary Elliott and her husband Robert, and Wendy Lovall; one grandson Leonard F. Treat, II and his wife Karen; one step-grandson, Joseph Ruth and his wife Cherri, two great-granddaughters, Collie Mia Treat and Katelyn Ross “Little Face” Treat; three step-great grandchildren, Joshua Ruth, Alexis Shaffer, and Cole Shaffer; two nephews, James Konarski and Charles Konarski, and two nieces, Judy Ann Zalendis and Jo-Ann Rothrock.
Dorothy was retired from the C and P Telephone, CO (now Verizon). She enjoyed keeping in touch with her former co-workers over all the years. Her hobby was sewing. Her greatest enjoyment was being a mother.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Father Brad Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Maryland Eastern Shore Cemetery in Hurlock. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
