Dorothy E. Hutchison
Easton: Dorothy Elizabeth Hutchison, age 92 of Chapel Road, Easton, passed away peacefully at the home of her son Palmer, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.
Born on December 13, 1918 in Stevensville, Md. she was the only child of the late Emory Palmer and Nannie Mae Lane Palmer. Mrs. Hutchison was a graduate of Stevensville High School. On April 27, 1940 she married Leo Barry Hutchison, her husband of 49 years. She was a devoted farm wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and baking. “G†or “GG “as she was know to everyone, loved taking care of her grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and traveling with her granddaughter. She loved her old Kent Island memories.
Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren, Cordova, Md.
She is survived by her children; Palmer B. Hutchison and wife Darlene of Easton, Peggy A. Milligan and husband Robert of Laurel, DE; grandchildren; Barry Hutchison and wife Debbie, Paul Hutchison and wife Amy, Lisa Marvel and husband Bruce, Alan Hutchison and wife Ramona, Erik Milligan and wife Ginny, Corey Milligan and wife Mary Jo, Kimberly Morton and husband Scott. Great-grandchildren; Darcy, Darin, Dean, Paul Jr; Ethan, Jacob, Lane, Brittany, Ashley, Drew, Alan Jr; Cody, Adrianna, Justin, Heather, Michael, Ronald, Chase, Tanner, and1 Great Great-grandchild; Abbigail. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leo B. Hutchison in 1989.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00PM Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Fairview Church of the Brethren, Cordova, Md; where a visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00PM.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family request that donations be made in Mrs. Hutchison’s memory to the Fairview Church of the Brethren’s Outreach, Food Pantry or Camp Mardela Scholarship Fund, 11243 Chapel Rd. Cordova, Md. 21625.
