Dorothy Irene Russell's Obituary
Dorothy Irene Russell of Greensboro, Maryland passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her home. She was 88.
She was born on September 6, 1934 in Lewes, Delaware the daughter of the late Harry Medford Frampton, Sr. and Virginia Dare Evans Frampton.
Most of her working career she was a Bus Driver's Aide. She also worked as a waitress and in a sewing factory. In her free time, she enjoyed putting together puzzles, word search puzzles, her boxer dogs, and time with her family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she enjoyed decorating for the Holidays.
She is survived by five daughters: Pam Leadbeter of Greensboro, MD, Ginny Thawley and her Husband Fred, Jr. of Denton, Dawn Higgins and her husband Danny of Hurlock, Jo Ann Workman of Greenwood and Peggy Messick and her husband Don of Ellendale; 12 grandchildren, 23 Great Grand Children and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Russell, Jr., and her siblings: Harry M. Frampton, Jr., Elwood Frampton and Ida Mae Wilkens.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood with the Reverend Raymond Absher officiating. Burial will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery near Bridgeville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to the start of the service.
