Dorothy Mae Williams' Obituary
Dorothy Mae Collins Williams of Federalsburg passed away at her home on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was 91.
She was born on April 13, 1927 the daughter of the late Ira J. Collins and Laura Helen Waller Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly sixty years, C. Victor Williams, Jr. on April 29, 2006.
Dorothy, "Dot" graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1944. She had worked previously for Highway Restaurant, Excelsior Pearl Works, Service Trucking, Williams Rapid Plant Wrap, Tastee Freeze, and retired from Sisk Fulfillment. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg where she had been a member of the Senior Choir and the Philathea Circle and enjoying attending the United Methodist Women.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Collins and Laurene Lord and her husband, Gerald all of Federalsburg, 9 grandchildren, Brent Williams (Lisa) of Denton, Greg Williams of Utah, Elwin Collins, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Kingsland, GA, Ira Williams, Jr. (Kendra) of Seaford, Eric Lord (Heather) of Hurlock, James Collins (Mary) of Preston, Michael Lord (Nichole) of Federalsburg, Geri Moxey (Joe) of Church Road, VA, Troup Lord of Federalsburg, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ira Wayne Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 12 noon at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Marie Coulbourne and Pastor Pam Bockart officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Compass Regional Hospice, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD, 21617.
