Dorothy N. Brown's Obituary
Dorothy Noami Christopher Brown of Stevensville, formerly of Preston and Federalsburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at her son’s home. She was 81 years old.
She was born September 22, 1927 near Harmony, Maryland, the daughter of the late Floyd W. Coleman and Emma May Fluharty Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dorsey Christopher and Carroll Brown.
She had worked for over thirty years at McCord Laundry in Easton. She had attended Salisbury Baptist Church, was a past member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1250 in Easton, and
attended Bethlehem Wesleyan Church for many years.
She is survived by a son, Dorsey Irvin “Butch” Christopher and his wife, Charlotte of Stevensville, two grandchildren, A. Michelle Morris of Hurlock, MD and D. Brad Christopher of Preston, five great-grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Jordan Morris, Macy Morris, Colby Christopher and Brodey Christopher, 2 step-grandchildren, Charles M. and Timothy L. Downs, 4 sisters, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Glenn Staehli officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
