Edna Butler's Obituary
Edna Marker Butler of Greenwood went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her home after a long battle with COPD and cancer. She was 74.
She was born on October 18, 1950 in Dover, Delaware; the daughter of the late Douglas Marker and Charlotte Krazeur Marker.
She graduated from Caesar Rodney High School with the class of 1968. She worked most all of her life as a caregiver for the elderly. She loved her patients and was known for her loving care she extended to all.
She was a member of the Greenwood Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Greenwood V.F.W. Post #7478 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of Saint Johnstown United Methodist Church in Greenwood. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching old movies, and caring for the neighborhood stray cats that needed food and a home.
She is survived by three children: Eslie Butler and Charlotte Bawel of Greenwood and Mack Butler of TX; and grandchildren: Kayla Marie, Madison Lee, Daniel Shane, Naomi Lilly, Micah Balean, Mackenzie Rose, Aubrey Ruth, Malecli Richard, Crisman, and Sadee Crisman; and a very dear friend, Linda Campbell of Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 at St. Johnstown United Methodist Church in Greenwood with the Reverend Eric Fontanez-Baez officiating with refreshments to follow at the end of the service. We hope you will join the family at this time.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
