Edward Joseph Barry's Obituary
Edward Joseph Barry, 47, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD.
He was the son of Kathleen Cooleen Barry of Preston and John Patrick Barry of Annapolis.
He was called Eamon by his family and known to his many friends as Ed. He was born April 1, 1966, in Holy Cross Hospital, and raised in Burtonsville, MD. A Paint Branch High School graduate, Class of '84, Ed especially loved his time spent on the PBHS Wrestling Team, where he excelled.
Eamon is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Margaret (Brian) and Theresa (Donald), Sean (Michelle), and Kevin (Louise). Although not a parent himself, Eamon was devoted to his ten nieces and nephews: John Barry, Connor McLemore, Grayson Barry, Travis Barry, Amanda McLemore, Ian Barry, Nell Barry, Alison Barry, Liam Barry, and Lauren Mae Coffey. He was loved by his extended family and his many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 30 at Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg, MD with the Father Anthony F. Greco officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Preston’s Junior Order Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's name to Channel Marker, Inc., Easton, MD, a non-profit on the mid-shore that provides rehabilitative mental health services to adults and youth; to the Paint Branch High School Wrestling Team, Burtonsville, MD; or to a charity of your choice.
