Edward Conrad Fuchs' Obituary
Edward Conrad Fuchs, of Preston, passed peacefully away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home in Preston surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.
He was born in Preston on April 15, 1933, a son of the late Conrad Fuchs and Caroline Kleinwachter Fuchs.
Edward graduated from Preston High School class of 1952. On September 7, 1957, he married the former Doris “Joanne” Jones. Edward was an avid farmer, who took great pride in his work. He enjoyed talking with other local farmers. He was also known for his sense of humor and always enjoy making people laugh. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who thought the world of his family. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and a former member of the Preston Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Doris “Joanne” Fuchs, of Preston, a son, Donald Fuchs and his wife Tana, of Preston; two daughters, Cathy Lankford, of Lewes, Delaware and Nancy Marshall and her husband Billy, of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren, Stephanie Fuchs, of Easton, Jordan Fuchs, of Easton, Shelby Lankford, of Lewes, Delaware, Laney Marshall, of Katy, Texas, and Briah Marshall, of Katy, Texas; and a sister, Louise Nichols, of Hurlock.
Mr. Fuchs is preceded in death by a son, Dale Fuchs, a brother, Jim Fuchs, and a sister, Caroline Oliphant.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Billy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
