Edward Howard's Obituary
Edward M. Howard of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Monday, October 13, 2008, at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. He was 91 years old.
He was born May 29, 1917 in Harmony the son of the late Mark Howard and Mary Statum Howard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther M. Howard.
He was a member of Unity-Washington United Methodist Church in Hurlock. He was a poultry and grain farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid fox hunter and raised harness horses and raised “Vamps Clipper” who was the horse of the year at Harrington in 1981. He enjoyed blue grass music and was a member of the Wheat Threshermans Club.
He is survived by two children, Joyce English and her husband, Franklin of Federalsburg, David Howard and his wife, Sherrie of Federalsburg, three grandchildren, Debra Sherman of Hurlock, Robert Howard, and Mark Howard both of Federalsburg, five great-grandchildren, Marcia Parks, Melanie Sherman, Ryan Sherman, Taylor Howard, and Emma Howard. He was preceded in death by a son, Dale E. Howard and two brothers, Leonard Howard and William Howard.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 1p.m. at Unity-Washington United Methodist Church in Hurlock with Rev. Bonnie Shively officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at
Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m.
