Edward "Scooter" Jones' Obituary
Edward Wallace Jones, son of Barbara Jean Friend– Weeks of Federalsburg, MD and Edward Jones of Blades, DE was born on November 12, 1975. He departed this life on July 9, 2016.
Edward (Scooter) resided in Caroline County, MD. He attended Caroline County Public Schools where he graduated from Colonel Richardson High School. He married Rhonda Lynn Russell on June 26, 2002 and together they had a son, Jayden.
At an early age he loved playing basketball. He loved music, “Tupac” was his favorite artist. Scooter took pride in the way he dressed and carried himself well. He loved to cook and everyone knows he always enjoyed a good cheesesteak sub.
Scooter leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rhonda, his two sons, Camyron Jones of Dover, DE and Jayden Jones of Delmar, MD. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Friend-Weeks, his father Edward Jones, step father Felix Weeks, his three borthers Anthony Roberts, Felix Weeks, Jr., Stuart Banks, his sisters Sheena Friend Rhodes, Valencia Stagg, Edwina Jones, and Nicola Jones.
He leaves to mourn a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Farmers Memorial Church of God in Christ in Preston with the Reverend Cleon Deal and Reverend Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Coppins AME Church Cemetery in Preston.
