Edward W. Bodensick
Bozman, Edward W. Bodensick died at home in Bozman, on Friday, January 29, 2016. He was 65.
Born in Baltimore City on October 19, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward William Bodensick and survived by his mother Dorothy Hardingham Bodensick of Arnold. Ed graduated from Severna Park High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College. He served in the Air Force from 1972-1976, as a Sergeant Aircraft Maintenance Technician. After the Air Force, Ed began his career with U.S. Postal Service, starting as a mail carrier in Baltimore City and then moved to the Eastern Shore, working at the Easton Mail Processing Facility as a Clerk, Supervisor, & Operation Support Specialist. Ed retired in 2006, after 32 years of Federal Service.
Ed enjoyed his retirement, and was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He loved to bowl, to sing karaoke, and to take care of our miniature dachschund, Samson. He is a lifelong member of the American Legion, Easton Post #70 and a member of the Bozman United Methodist Church. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Kelly Haddaway Bodensick, a son, John Edward “Jeb†Bodensick; step sons, David B. Phillips and Macklin Phillips; foster son, Larry Koontz. Brothers, Thomas Bodensick of Baltimore and Michael Bodensick of Church Hill and Sisters, Marie Frazier of Stevensville and Sharon Shorter of Crownsville. Brother in laws, the late George Frazier and Wayne Shorter of Crownsville. His loving aunts, Ethel and Elizabeth Hardingham of Baltimore. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at the Ostrowski Funeral Home 312 S. Talbot Street, St. Michaels from 6:00 to 8:00PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 4, 2016 at the Bozman United Methodist Church, Bozman, MD at 11:00AM
Burial will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
