Elaine Mayers Wedman's Obituary
Elaine Mayers Wedman of Rhodesdale, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018. She was 79.
She was born on February 1, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph Mayers and Ruby Bethel.
She graduated from North Dorchester High School and became a bookkeeper for Williamsburg Canning Company and Todd Mulaney Insurance. She married the love of her life, Jesse Wedman on June 11, 1960. She enjoyed computers, geneology, saduko puzzles, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jesse Wedman, a daughter, Dianna Wedman, a son, Allen (Melody) Wedman, her grandchildren, Marissa Shelton, Lacey (Nate) Thurston, and Seth (Mallory) Shelton, great-grandchildren, Hanley Shelton, Houston Shelton, Harper Shelton, and Beckett Shelton.
She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Mayers and William Mayers, her half brothers, Edward Mayers, Christopher Mayers and Harold Mayers, and her step-father, Ralph Bethel.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11am. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, September 26, from 6-8pm as well as Thursday from 10-11am prior to the start of the service at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Pastors James Zeismer and Ken Sheller officiating. Interment will be held at HillCrest cemetery following the service.
