Elaine Donovan Richards' Obituary
Elaine Donovan Richards of Bridgeville, DE passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Nanticoke Memorial hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 79.
She was born on March 13, 1932, the daughter of the late John Henry Donovan and Ida Mae Feyerabend Donovan.
In 1956 she was married to James Edward Richards. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a clerical secretary for Sussex Roofing for many years. She attended Chaplain’s Chapel in Redden, DE, and later attended Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville. She enjoyed dancing, was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting her family and friends. She was a fan of Nascar racing, and enjoyed listening to country music, especially Alan Jackson.
She is survived by a son, Michael R. Richards and his wife, Lisa of Bridgeville, DE, and a daughter, Debra R. Drummond and her husband William of Bridgeville, DE, a daughter-in-law, Betty Richards of Laurel, four grandchildren, Cory Michael Richards, Amber Dawn Drummond, Dustin Scott Richards, and Kristin Nicole Drummond all of Bridgeville, DE, a sister, Charlotte Speicher of Bridgeville, DE. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Earl Richards.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with the Reverend Dale Brown officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood, DE. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:30 to 2:00.
